Cleanup and planting day at Long View

The Friends of Long View Park will host a park cleanup and planting day from 8 a.m.-noon May 2. The park access road is at 18th Avenue at 16th Street in Rock Island.

Volunteers are needed to help clean up flower beds, trim some small growth around the trees, help plant some plants around the lagoon area, sift sand in the playground, and some other miscellaneous things. Gloves will be provided and there will be doughnuts, juice, and coffee as well.
