Reading/Writing Center hiring tutors
The Reading/Writing Center is hiring peer writing tutors. The deadline to apply is Jan.15.
Preference is given to first-year students, though sophomores also will be considered.
Peer tutors consult with students on their reading and writing on a walk-in or regular basis; they also serve as writing fellows for First-Year Inquiry and other classes, give class presentations and/or lead out-of-class workshops, and take responsibility for paraprofessional activities in the center.
The center seeks excellent writers and communicators who relate well to peers and enjoy helping others improve their writing and reading.
