Alumni letters welcome new students

Alumni are invited to send a greeting to the Class of 2022 in a short letter. Yes, a real printed letter to give them advice, tell them things they should know or simply send best wishes! The letters will be placed in the students' rooms for them to find when they arrive on campus in August.

'The Glass Menagerie' coming up July 13-15, 20-22

The Mississippi Bend Players will present the Tennessee Williams' classic "The Glass Menagerie" July 13-15 and 20-22. The 1944 play, which catapulted Williams to fame, is the story of officer, dreamer and poet Tom Wingfield, who reminisces about working in a warehouse and living  with his overbearing mother and shy sister .

Five Academic All-Americans honored in 2017-2018

Five student-athletes were named Academic All-Americans during the 2017-2018 school year, bringing the total to 175 and securing Augustana’s Top 10 ranking among all U.S. colleges and universities.

Matt Robinson '01 and his band will perform Paul Simon's “Graceland” album Thursday in Davenport. The Chicago musician graduated in finance but left accounting to spend full-time on his music.

The Mississippi Bend Players, led by Broadway director and Augustana alumnus Phil McKinley, will kick off their second season with the musical "Big River: Adventures of Huckleberry Finn."

First-year geology major Quintin Powers will be digging for dinosaur fossils this summer. He landed an internship as the National Eagle Scout World Explorer Paleontologist this year.

For more than 50 years, Augustana has kept two crowns secure in a vault on campus. The Swedish bridal crowns — one silver and one gold — only come out for the wedding of an alumnus or student.
