MAJOR IN FILM. 32 credits, including 200, 250, 300, 350, and 450 and at least one additional FILM course of the student’s choosing (excluding FILM 100). An additional 8 credits must be taken from any remaining offerings in FILM (excluding FILM 100), and/or from approved electives. Choose two additional courses from the following: CSC 150, ENCW 203, ENCW 204, ENCW 304, FILM 270, FILM 370, FILM 470, GRD 374, GRD 375, GRD 392, MJMC 235, MULS 353, MUSC 133, THEA 240, THEA 242, THEA 314, THEA 315, THEA 410, 2 or 4-credits of approved FILM-INTR.
MINOR IN FILM. 16 credits, including 250 and at least one additional FILM course of the student’s choosing (excluding FILM 100). An additional 8 credits must be taken from any remaining offerings in FILM (excluding FILM 100), and/or from approved electives. Choose two additional courses from the following: CSC 150, ENCW 203, ENCW 204, ENCW 304, FILM 270, FILM 300, FILM 350, FILM 370, FILM 450, FILM 470, GRD 374, GRD 375, GRD 392, MJMC 235, MULS 353, MUSC 133, THEA 240, THEA 242, THEA 314, THEA 315, THEA 410, 2 or 4-credits of approved FILM-INTR.
Film majors or minors who opt for an approved film internship must enroll in 2 or 4-credits CORE-INTR and complete 75 or 150 supervised hours with the employer working hands-on in a film production related role. Upon completion, film-approved internships may convert to FILM-INTR and may count as a 2 or 4-credit elective toward the film major or minor. A total of 4-credits maximum of approved FILM-INTR can be applied toward the film major or minor. No-credit or partial credit internships do not count toward the film major or minor unless a combined total of 2 or 4-credits are completed. Credit-earning film internships can be paid or unpaid.
