Garrett Traylor joined Augustana College's Tredway Library as a Research and Instruction Librarian in August 2021. He supports a broad liaison portfolio including Accounting, Art & Art History, Business Administration, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Communication Studies, Data Analytics, Economics, Film Studies / Entertainment and Media, Music, Journalism & Mass Communication, Theatre Arts, Spanish, and Scandinavian Studies. He also serves as the library liaison for the Augustana Prison Education Program (APEP). As Outreach Coordinator for the library, he facilitates student-centered library spaces, displays, activities, and wellness initiatives across Tredway Library.

His current professional work focuses on emerging technology and educational access, providing campus guidance on AI and information literacy in general education. He has published and presented on AI in higher education, library wellness programming, Scandinavian cinema, adaptation theory, video games, and poetry. Prior to joining Augustana, he served for five years at Illinois College's Schewe Library after earning his Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. A Quad Cities native, he is proud to serve his home community.
