Roger Pavey is Macduff and Keenan Ellis is Macbeth in Augustana's production of Shakespeare's "Macbeth." You can see this classic tragedy for free at the Brunner: 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

âĒ Theatre majors have found a home off-campus and internship opportunities at the Spotlight Theatre in Moline. They've got fans!
The Quad City Botanical Center near campus is hanging lights from 6-8 p.m. today for its annual "Winter Nights Winter Lights" display. If you would like to help, email Kai Swanson ASAP for a ride. Doughnuts, hot cider and hot chocolate at the end for volunteers.

Software and folktales
Dr. Labiba Jahan, our newest computer science faculty, wrote software able to "read" Russian folktales and identify characters as princess, hero or villain. Read her work in "Inducing Stereotypical Character Roles from Plot Structure." It was accepted for publication in the 2021 Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing.
