A new minor in geospatial science technology

Augustana will offer a new experiential minor in geographic information science and technology beginning in the fall of 2021.

You can get a sneak peek at what it's all about at GIS Day this Saturday.

Today's updates:

• Sign up for Students.Care, our 24/7 telehealth service, and be entered into a $50 gift card drawing this week.

🎄 Apologies! We incorrectly reported that there would be no Sankta Lucia Festival this year. However, plans are for a recorded program to be made available in early December, so stay tuned.

• In ancient Greece, as now, cultural ideas about men, women and the body influenced the way doctors treated reproductive issues. Dr. Yurie Hong of Gustavus Adolphus College and our own Classics faculty will discuss the value of engaging with the ancient past when thinking through modern problems. You are invited; 4:30 p.m. tomorrow!

Wednesday: SGA office hours 1:30 p.m.; LatinX career professionals panel 4:30 p.m.

Take a break: yoga, mindfulness and meditation

How about an hour a day, every day, of yoga, mindfulness and breathing meditation this week? We begin tonight.

Shubhangi Garg, a certified yoga instructor with three years of training in India, will lead the sessions from 5-6 p.m. each day (except 4-5 p.m. Thursday).

The Office of International Student and Scholar Services is sponsoring the classes to celebrate International Education Week. Also, on Tuesday, the office will sponsor a program on Disability Services and Awareness among International Students at noon.

American flag, augie A, and waning moon
