Today's update: Rapid tests available
Oct. 27, 2021
Is it a cold or COVID? Rapid tests now available
You now can get a COVID-19 rapid test at the Augustana Convenient Care with results in as little as 15 minutes.
The rapid test will eliminate the need for people to quarantine for the 2-5 days often required to receive the results of lab-based tests.
"There should be no concerns about long result wait times or long unnecessary quarantines, and individuals who are a close contact or symptomatic should not hesitate getting tested," Dr. Wes Brooks, dean of students, said in yesterday's campus briefing.
Anyone who is not vaccinated is required to test weekly. The clinic also tests employees and students who are symptomatic or who have been exposed to COVID-19.
If you have COVID symptoms, or test positive, or are exposed to someone who tested positive, call Augustana Public Safety, 309-794-7711.
