Campus update: A big week!

It's been a busy few days for the newest Augustana Vikings: move-in, saying good-bye, saying hello to new friends, Welcome Week and the start of classes.
Take a look:
Family Weekend Sept. 24-25 is a busy one, with food, fun and athletics. Don't miss the final event, the Chill on the Hill music festival at the Anderson Pavilion.
Hear faculty play in their bands the White Tornado and Subatlantic, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Class of 2026 top majors: computer science, business, biology
Computer science is the top intended major for the Class of 2026. Business, biology and pre-med are next in line.
The 683 students come from 22 states and 33 countries.
Announcements
• The Student Government Association is looking for leaders to serve as members of the Student Senate. Apply by Sept. 13.
• Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed fraternity that cultivates leadership, friendship and service. Get to know them at social events Sept. 9 and 12.
The Pre-Health Club is inviting new members.
• Students interested in the Public Leadership Education Network should contact Jessica Estes. PLEN is a national organization focused on preparing women and marginalized gender groups for leadership in the public policy arena.
Did you know the dining menu is posted online?
• The women's golf team is already on fire and football opened the season with a win. Women's volleyball, soccer, cross country, water polo and tennis are underway, too.
