How to share campus information
- Submit an event
- Public events will be posted to the main calendar.
- Campus-only events will be posted to the Current Students and Faculty & Staff pages.
- Submit an announcement
- Announcements will be posted to the Current Students and Faculty & Staff pages.
- Submit a picture of the day
- Pictures of the day will appear on the Current Students and Faculty & Staff pages. They may also be shared on Augustana's social media pages.
- Share news
- News may be shared on the News Center webpage or through various print and/or digital communications.
- Share information for employees
Campus events posting
All campus events, both internal and external, will be posted to the Augustana College events calendar. Campus events will no longer be promoted individually through email using Google Groups.
Detailed policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance can be found here.
- Submitting an event: All events can be submitted through www.augustana.edu/about-us/events/submit or by emailing events@augustana.edu. Be sure to include all necessary information, such as the date, time, location, description, cost and point of contact.
- Internal events: Events geared toward the on-campus community will be posted to the calendar on the Current Students and Faculty & Staff pages.
- External events: Events that are open to the public will be posted to the public events calendar.
HR Update (communication with employees)
All campus news, announcements, employee awards and accomplishments, and feature articles on strategic college initiatives will be posted through the HR Update or by submitting information for distribution through the updated Staff/Admin Google Groups. Across-campus access to the Staff/Admin Google Groups will be limited to specific senders. Detailed policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance can be found here.
- Submitting an employee announcement: Information that you would like to disseminate to all employees can be sent to hrupdates@augustana.edu.
Campus Update
All campus news, announcements, employee awards and accomplishments, and feature articles on strategic college initiatives relevant to all college employees will be posted through the Campus Update. Detailed policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance can be found here.

Google Groups (Listservs)
Google Group access for posting information to specific groups, such as students, faculty, staff/admin, etc. will now be limited to specific senders. Information can now be shared by submitting information to each Google Group’s lead or through the appropriate newsletter. Detailed policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance can be found here.

Lost and found
All items found on campus will be turned in to the Office of Public Safety. Lost and Found announcements will no longer be promoted individually through email using Google Groups. Detailed policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance can be found here.
- To claim property: Contact Public Safety at the non-emergency number (309-794-7000).
- To turn in lost and/or abandoned property: Individuals may drop off single items at the Public Safety Office.
Job postings
All internship and job postings, for positions both internal and external to the college, will be posted to Handshake. Job postings will no longer be promoted individually through email using Google Groups. Detailed policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance can be found here.
