The $1.2 million grant prepares students to teach in high-need schools by matching them with partner schools and providing supplementary professional development in working with diverse student populations.

Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity assistant director and LGBTQ+ coordinator Sam Wright and Leah Jorgensen from the Counseling Center will be available every Thursday from 1-2 p.m. to offer a supportive environment for the LGBTQ+ community. No registration required.
Tim Dodge ’70 honored at wrestling reunion/dedication
In October, 90 friends and family members celebrated the late Tim “Dodger” Dodge ’70 at a wrestling reunion and dedication of the Tim Dodge Wrestling Mezzanine. The mezzanine overlooks Augustana’s wrestling facility in the Carver Center.

Lazlow Ziebel '25 named Lincoln Academy student laureate
Senior Lazlow Ziebel is Augustana's 2024 Lincoln Academy laureate. He was nominated by President Andrea Talentino for his contributions to sustainability efforts and advancing diversity and inclusivity initiatives.
TIME magazine recognizes 2006 grad's invention
TIME magazine has selected Dr. Jenn Hintzsche’s at-home insemination kit as one of the Best Inventions of 2024. Her product, called the PherDal Kit, received FDA clearance in December 2023, and in February became the only sterile at-home insemination kit available in the United States.
