TriBeta biology honor society and Pre-SOMA (Student Osteopathic Medical Association) will present a panel discussion on the Texas Medical Center Summer Research Internship Program.
Students can learn about the 2019 cohort’s experience this past summer and what it is like to work in the largest medical center in the world.
Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Program public comment meeting
Augustana College will host a public meeting for comment on its proposed Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Program (MS-SLP).
The purpose of this meeting is to give the community an opportunity to comment on the development of this program in a public forum. Site visitors from the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA), an affiliate of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), will be present to hear and address public comments.
A copy of the Standards for Accreditation may be obtained by contacting the Accreditation Office at ASHA, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, Md., 20850; calling ASHA’s Action Center at 800-498-2071; or accessing the documents online.
This meeting will be held from 5-5:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, in Hanson 127, a classroom in the new wing of Hanson Science Hall on Augustana’s campus. We hope you will add your voice to the discussion.
Dance Marathon meeting
Augustana Dance Marathon will meet; all interested students are invited.
Those who can't attend the meeting may email to show they are interested.
Dance Marathon will take place from 7-10 p.m. March 6 in the Gävle Rooms in the Gerber Center.
It is a fundraiser for the University of Iowa Stead Children's Hospital in Iowa City. Donations fund treatments, services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
Pre-registration for $15 includes a Dance Marathon T-shirt.
Pre-registration closes Jan 20; those not registered can pay $10 at the door.
Tea Talks series begins 11th year
Now entering its 11th year, the Tea Talks lecture series at Augustana will feature faculty, staff and guest speakers on a range of topics.
PACE Pumpkin Carving Contest
PACE will be hosting a friendly pumpkin carving competition.
PACE is a year-long program designed for first year students of color. If you participated in PACE Orientation or a student interested in participating in the PACE program, this event is for you.
MMA AlumNight Dinner
Join Multicultural Men's Association for a free meal and conversation with men of color who graduated from Augustana.
MMA provides opportunities and experiences for male students of color to connect with each other, staff, and community role models.
