Students taking German at all levels are encouraged to attend a German conversation table to practice informal conversation.

German conversation tables will take place every Wednesday from 11:20-12:10 p.m.

Comedy Club: Jay Jurden

Jay Jurden is a New York-based comedian, writer and actor originally from Mississippi. He performs comedy all over New York City and recently performed on the "Tonight Show."

Comedy Club: Michael Blaustein

Michael Blaustein has performed at more than 200 colleges worldwide and has been on the Comedy Central on Campus Tour, the College Humor Tour, and the Oddball Comedy Fest.

He can be seen in “Person of Interest” on CBS, and has a role in “The Lucky Guy,” a feature film produced by Spike Lee, out in 2017. He has hosted two pilots for MTV and was a cast member of the last season of MTV's Punk'd.

Blaustein also co-wrote, co-directed and co-starred in the feature film "Up There" in 2018.  

Comedy Club: Adam Mamawala

Adam Mamawala is a stand-up comedian based out of New York City. A former winner of the New Jersey Comedy Festival, Adam was selected as one of Funny or Die’s "Top 30 Under 30: Comedians to Watch" and he recently appeared on MTV's Girl Code.

Adam has headlined over 200 colleges across more than 35 states and was named Campus Activities Magazine’s “Fastest Rising Star” in 2013.

Signature Series III: Jupiter Quartet

The Signature Series by WVIK and the Quad City Symphony Orchestra will present the Jupiter String Quartet. This evening of chamber music will explore Beethoven.

The ensemble includes Nelson Lee and Meg Freivogel, violin; Liz Freivogel, viola; and Daniel McDonough, cello. They are Artists-in-Residence at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where they maintain private studios and direct the chamber music program.

Faculty recital: Juliana Han, piano

Juliana Han, Augustana assistant professor of music, will perform on piano.

Brahms: Selected Intermezzi, Op. 118
Clara Schumann: Scherzo in C minor
Handel: Suite in B-flat major

A concert pianist, Han is an active collaborator, chamber musician, and soloist who has introduced classical works to diverse audiences. She has performed in New York's major venues, including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Merkin Hall, as well as in other notable venues across North America and Asia.

Previously adjunct faculty at the Juilliard School, Dr. Han teaches applied piano and courses in musicianship at Augustana.

Faculty recital: Susan Schwaegler, clarinet

Augustana music instructor Susan Schwaegler will perform on clarinet.

She also teaches Woodwind Methods, directs the Clarinet Choir, and performs with the Faculty Woodwind Quintet and Kali Yuga, the college's free improvisation ensemble.

She has appeared with the Quad City Symphony and Orchestra Iowa as a section substitute, and did outreach tours as a member of the Quad City Symphony Woodwind Quintet. She is a charter member of the Quad City Wind Ensemble, and has performed with the City Opera Company of the Quad Cities and the Quad City Music Guild.

The women's tennis team will go against North Park University at home as a CCIW contest.

Women's tennis vs. Wartburg

The women's tennis team will go against Wartburg College at home.

Women's tennis vs. Illinois Wesleyan

The women's tennis team will go against Illinois Wesleyan University in the first home game of the season. This match will also be a CCIW contest.
