Baccalaureate Service
The Rev. Christina Garrett Klein '08, pastor of Edgebrook Lutheran Church, Chicago, will be this year's Baccalaureate speaker.
Liturgist will be the Rev. Richard W. Priggie ‘74, Augustana chaplain.
Music will be provided by the Augustana Symphonic Brass, Augustana Choir, and college organist Christopher Nelson.

Dr. Peter Xiao Exhibition Talk, "Body, No Mind"
Dr. Peter Xiao, Augustana professor of art and graphic design, will talk about his work on view at Gallery West through May 31.
There will be live music by Roger Carlson, and snacks and drinks at this closing reception.
The Rock Island gallery is open from 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday.
Student Showcase
Leo Nguyen will perform stand-up comedy, and Erin Larkin will perform on guitar. There will also be a raffle held for a basket of chocolate.
Disney Club info meeting
If you love all things Disney, this could be the group for you. There will be a Disney Club informational meeting to discuss activities for next year.

Founders Day Service
This service celebrates the 158th anniversary of both the Augustana Lutheran Church in America and Augustana College and Theological Seminary, and the 168th anniversary of the Andover Lutheran congregation in Andover, Ill.
The speaker will be Pastor Richard Prigge, Augustana College chaplain. He will give the message, "The Last Word is Life."
Deanna Swanson from Augustana Lutheran Church in Andover will be the organist and Jeana Fors of Galesburg will provide instrumental music. Light refreshments will be served after the service by members of First Lutheran Church in Moline.
Fundraiser at Kavanaugh's
The Augustana Psychology Department and the Guatemala Study Abroad program will be partnering with Kavanaugh's to support Amigos Sin Fronteras and the people of Santa Catarina. The fundraiser will last from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Amigos Sin Fronteras is an organization that has provided food, educational supplies, hygiene items, classes, and encouragement to their community.

The Salon: Megan Havard
The Salon is a weekly gathering of students, faculty, staff, and administrators from across campus each Thursday. It is a time and place for discussion of interdisciplinary ideas and shared experiences; everyone is welcome to participate.
The theme for this term: What are the limits of what we can know?
Megan Havard (Spanish) will lead this week's discussion on culture-free knowledge: What are the limits of what we, as readers, can learn from a particular text? How does authorial or narrator bias, both in fictional and nonfictional works, impact our ability to interpret a text and draw independent, reliable conclusions?
A Night of Noise
The Gender and Sexuality Alliance will present A Night of Noise 2018 drag show. The Augustana community and off-campus guests are invited.
There will be music, entertainment and refreshments.
The event supports the LGBT+ community.
Monologue Walk
Alpha Psi Omega will host a Monologue Walk from 12 - 3 p.m. dedicated to exploring futures in theater. With multiple stations for any sort of audition, from dramatic to comedic and Shakespearean to musical, participants will work together to refine monologue techniques and learn audition techniques from experienced actors. Bringing a monologue is encouraged but there will be some provided at every station.
Stations on stagecraft, hair, makeup, and other careers in theater will also be available. The world of theater goes far beyond actors and directors, so participants are encouraged to come explore other options as well.
Augustana Endowment Society
The Augustana Endowment Society will meet for a '1st Wednesday ' program and a brief business meeting, followed by light refreshments. Dean and Vice President of Student Life, Dr Evelyn Campbell, will enlighten attendees with "Everything Students Want to Know".
Founded in 1894, the society is an independent group of friends of the college who contribute to various strategic college initiatives through collection of annual dues and investment in securities. It meets the first Wednesday of each month during the academic year at 1:30 p.m. in the Westerlin Hall lounge.
Memberships are available for $10.
