Nov. 18, 2024First-year student Landri Drude (right) of Dyer, Ind., recently reunited with Jaap Haartsen (left), the inventor of Bluetooth® Wireless Technology, at the Summer Learning Summit, hosted by the National Summer Learning Association in Washington, D.C., Nov. 11-13. As a child, Landri attended National Inventors Hall of Fame's Camp Invention, a hands-on STEM summer program. She won a national NIHF contest and a trip to the 2015 NIHF induction ceremony, where she met 2015 inductee Haartsen. Last week she shared how that experience inspired her to study STEM with 200 educators at the Summer Learning Summit.
