Augustana College invites local governments and nonprofits to share their biggest problems, and the college will bring the students, faculty and expertise to help solve them. Applications are due Nov. 15, 2025.

With a minor in astronomy, you can be part of a 50-plus-year history of exploring space at a college known for strong science programs with a liberal arts foundation, and a culture of support for research and adventure.

Research and adventure are at the heart of study in astronomy. At Augustana, students minoring in astronomy learn using resources that link our campus to the American west, and to the far reaches of space.

Symposium Day 2025 expresses voice and vision

This year’s Symposium Day theme, Voice and Vision, invited projects that explored how people speak and see, literally and metaphorically, across all disciplines. Speakers and participants illuminated what it means to speak boldly and see clearly.

Partner communities must support the effort through dedicated staff time (co-managing projects, co-mentoring interns, etc.) and a local funding contribution. The selection process will be competitive.

About 2,000 alumni, friends of the college, students and families gathered on campus Sept. 26-28 for Homecoming and Family Weekend. Bingo was a hot ticket for alumni of the last 10 years, and QuadFest connected Vikings and guests of all ages.
