Magdalena Persson Mårtensson letters, 1883–1951

Letters from relatives of Magdalena Persson Mårtensson in Sweden and the United States concerning financial matters and legal issues of inheritance. The letters also describe the living conditions in Sweden during the late 19th and early 20th century and the experience of an ordinary family in Sweden during and after the First World War. The collection gives insight into trans-Atlantic communication during the height of Swedish emigration to the United States.
