The Jenny Lind Chapel Committee is concerned with the operation, programs, and preservation of the Jenny Lind Chapel in Andover, Illinois. The Chapel is the “mother church” of the Augustana Synod and of Swedish-American Lutheranism, established by Lars Paul Esbjörn in 1950. Many of the materials in this collection came from Dr. Conrad Bergendoff, Birger Swenson, and Hortense Lindorff.

Winter term 2017-18 dean's list

Augustana College announces the students who have been named to the Dean’s List for the 2017-2018 winter term. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

10 Excellence in the Liberal Arts winners listed

Ten students are recipients of the Excellence in the Liberal Arts Award, which provides Augustana students with $400-$4,000 for international study or summer programs in the humanities. It was established by Dr. Dan Lee, professor of religion, and his wife, Ruth Lee.

Augustana's Big Table

In conjunction with the Quad Cities Chamber, Augustana College hosted a Big Table lunch on April 20. Over two days, thousands of people representing different backgrounds, neighborhoods and interest groups participated in more than 500 conversations to discuss and imagine the future of our region.
