Greek Council
Greek Council, the governing board of fraternity and sorority life, is comprised of a 15 member executive board and two representatives from each chapter. This student run governing body meets weekly and is responsible for facilitating Greek relations with Augustana faculty and the community.
Student Government Association (SGA)
The Augustana Student Government Association reflects and advances the fulfillment of student needs in the academic and social community. A united student body exerts significant influence in the operation and policies of the College. The Student Government Association seeks to channel, define, and embody that collective strength. To fulfill its charge, Student Government must maintain a constant exchange with the student body. All students are encouraged to attend SGA meetings.
WVIK 90.3 FM
Augustana’s National Public Radio affiliate serves the Illinois-Iowa community 24 hours a day at 90.3 FM. A professional staff programs classical music, news, and public affairs, as well as jazz and specialty shows. WVIK also operates a reading service for the blind involving volunteers from the College and the community. A number of Augustana students are involved in the publicly financed operation, principally as reporters.
Augustana Web Guild
The Web Guild is a student group that provides a full range of web services for not-for-profit organizations and small businesses along with website design and development training to Augustana students.
WAUG
WAUG is Augustana College’s student-run radio station, located in Rock Island, Ill., broadcasting over the Internet.
SAGA Art and Literary Magazine
Augustana’s biannual literary and art magazine is edited by a student staff and publishes student art, prose and poetry.
Women's Water Polo
Augie Water Polo competes in the CWPA conference in the fall, and play in other tournaments in the spring. Our goal is to teach anyone who wants to play the basics of the game, and to form a good team dynamic.
