At Augustana, we continually strive to be a more welcoming and inclusive community. The Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the Office for Student Inclusion and Diversity, the Office of International Student and Scholar Services, as well as many academic departments and other groups on campus, continually provide meaningful opportunities for the campus community to engage in dialogue, share in activities and support ongoing conversations.
OSID First Friday: Be a Kid for a Day
Keep the stress away, and be a kid for a day! Take a break from adulting and pause from the semester with games, a DIY slime station, snacks and music. This OSID First Friday is the perfect way to recharge, relax and have some fun!
LGBTQ+ Mental Balance Check-In
Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity assistant director and LGBTQ+ coordinator Sam Wright and Leah Jorgensen from the Counseling Center will be available every Thursday from 1-2 p.m. to offer a supportive environment for the LGBTQ+ community. No registration required.
Diwali
Diwali, known as Tihar or Deepawali in Nepal, is a Hindu festival celebrated in Nepal and India. For our Diwali event, we will have a Diwali presentation to educate our audience on why and how Diwali is celebrated.
