Laura E. Greene

Professor of English

Laura Greene teaches British Literature, with a special interest in Victorian fiction.  In addition to her duties in the English department, she regularly teaches in both the Honors and the Women’s Studies Programs.

Her research interests currently involve exploring how students learn; she was named a Carnegie Scholar in 2003-04 to pursue a research project on what kinds of questions students ask in response to course readings.  She is chair of the Literature and Language division of the college.
