Viking Connections: Toni Tortorello-Allaway

Toni Tortorello-Allaway

Toni Tortorello-Allaway is a high school French teacher.

"I value the education and opportunities Augustana provided me, and I want to support the next generation of educators as they transition from college to the professional world. I also understand how challenging the first years as an educator can be and want to help new graduates feel less alone, more prepared, and more confident. With my years of experience, I can share strategies for lesson planning, curriculum development, classroom management, differentiated instruction, and working with diverse student populations. Finally, by helping others thrive in the field of education, I will contribute to the improvement of the profession as a whole."

Graduation year: 1998

Post-grad: Master of Educational Leadership

Majors: French, Secondary Education, Theatre

Campus activities: Theatre, Sigma Pi Delta sorority, Alpha Psi Omega, Peer Mentor Program, Augustana Admissions Ambassador
