Augustana to celebrate its ‘best move’ on Sept. 21
Augustana College invites the community to celebrate the college’s 150th anniversary in Rock Island from 6-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Rock Island’s Schwiebert Riverfront Park.
Study Abroad Fair
Stop by the Study Abroad Fair 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to meet with faculty leaders and learn about the faculty-led study abroad programs for the academic year 2026-2027. Several representatives from our study abroad partners will also be in attendance to give you a complete rundown of their semester and summer programs. Information about study abroad scholarships, Augie Choice, and exchange programs will also be available at the fair. We hope to see you there! The Augustana Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition will take place.
On-campus job fair
SGA will be hosting a job fair for various on campus work opportunities on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 1-2 p.m. in the Viking Plaza!
The event will feature the following on campus jobs:
- Admissions
- Residential Life
- Campus Recreation
- Dining Services
- Sports Medicine
Our drop-in career fair is geared towards those who participate in federal work-study, are international students, or anyone looking for accessible on-campus work experience. Each job opportunity is unique and a great way to gain professional experience and campus connections!

This is less scripted time to be together and discuss how we support each other and how we can do that better. It is a time to be together in community. Themes for the day are intended to encourage participation but there will not be formal presentations or panels. This is about conversation and community–getting the opportunity to talk to each other as colleagues, mentors, mentees, and friends.
