
PBK Visiting Scholar addresses urgent climate crisis
On Oct. 2-3, Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Dr. Corey D.B. Walker of Wake Forest University will present a public lecture, take part in class and seminar discussions, and meet informally with students and faculty.
Safari Bingo
The Student Life Programming Board will host Safari Bingo, one of the most popular events at Augustana. Players have a chance to win $500 cash and Augie merch from the bookstore. Free drinks and candy provided.
Augie Acres apple harvesting
Help the Augustana Local Agricultural Society harvest apples and peaches at Augie Acres. Produce will be donated to the NEST Cafe, a pay-what-you-can restaurant in Rock Island.
Free testing and safe sex education
The Project Of The Quad Cities will provide access to free testing and safe sex products from 3-5 p.m. Presented by by the Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity and the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department.

Augustana seeks participants for tinnitus research
The Tinnitus Activities Treatment–Online program includes video-recorded counseling sessions with a focus on the causes, prevalence, mechanisms and reactions to tinnitus. Thirty or more participants can take part in the sessions.
SGA Senate applications due Sept. 13
The Student Government Association is seeking strong leaders to serve as members of the Student Senate. If you are interested in advocating for your peers, bridging the gap between students and administrators, funding campus organizations or developing your professional skills, you are encouraged to apply.
Blood Drive
The Greek Council will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All who attempt to donate will receive a gift card or bonus points to shop the ImpactLife store.
