Students research endangered species in the African bush
Three students researched the painted dog species this summer in Zimbabwe. Offered through Augustana's CORE office, the internship aligned perfectly with what the students want to pursue in the future — wildlife conservation and rehabilitation, and wildlife medicine.
Graduate and professional school fair
The graduate and professional school fair is hosted virtually by Augustana College, Bradley University, Knox College, Millikin University and Monmouth College.
This one-day virtual event is open to students from a variety of majors who are interested in graduate school.
Career EXPO sponsored by QC Colleges
This event highlights opportunities in engineering, accounting, finance, banking, technology and data analytics, and graduate schools.
Networking and workshops begin at 11 a.m., and the expo begins at 1 p.m.

CORE first-year student employment fair
On the Saturday of Welcome Week, CORE invites first-year students to the annual on-campus student employment fair from 1-3 p.m.
All degree-seeking students registered at Augustana at least half-time (four credits) may apply to work on campus. Student workers are paid $9.25-$11.00 an hour and may work up to 10 hours per week. International students may work up to 20 hours per week.
American Scandinavian Association: Kräftskiva crayfish party
The American Scandinavian Association at Augustana will hold its annual Kräftskiva crayfish party. The menu includes traditional crayfish, Swedish meatballs, shrimp, new potatoes, corn on the cob, fresh fruit, apple cabbage salad, cookies, coffee, tea and bottled water.
Door prizes will be drawn for those in attendance, and 2024 Sweden and Norway calendars will be available for purchase for $12. See flyer.
