Vikings make history at 2025 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships
Augustana College’s women’s track and field program turned in a historic performance at the 2025 NCAA Division III Championships, highlighted by an individual national title, seven All-Americans and a record-breaking team finish.
Engineering (Bachelor of Science)
The college offers an innovative General Engineering (Bachelor of Science) program at a liberal arts institution, with focuses in mechanical, civil, and environmental and sustainability engineering.
This program is multidisciplinary so students will be exposed to physics, mathematics and engineering, while incorporating ethics, humanities and social sciences.
Advertising in action: what two AAF conferences taught me
I’ve had the incredible opportunity to travel with Augustana’s Advertising Developers (ADs) group to the National Student Advertising Conference, hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), twice now. Each experience has been a game-changer for my growth, mentorship connections and hands-on experience in the marketing world.
Engineering Physics, Physics or Teaching Physics
You can major or minor in physics or major in teaching physics in the secondary schools. The full-time physics faculty all hold a Ph.D., and teach all laboratory sessions as well as courses.
If you are interested in combining the applied side of physics and engineering, you can choose a major in engineering physics with a chemical, electrical or mechanical track.
Augustana's Class of 2025 recognized at commencement ceremony
On Saturday, Augustana College recognized 555 candidates for graduation at the 165th commencement ceremony. The commencement address was given by The Honorable Eric Sorensen, U.S. Representative, Illinois District 17. Ocean Keola Akau '25, a psychology major from Pana’ewa, Hawaii, was the featured student speaker.
