Managing food allergies

Dining Services works with students to provide safe food every day, but the staff needs to be aware of a student's specific allergies.

Students with food allergies are encouraged to contact Dining Services as early as possible for a meeting with a team of professionals who can ensure that the student is able to enjoy dining at Augustana.

Email or call Julie Ortscheid-Stone, 309-794-7543, manager of dining and board operations, to set up a meeting and for more information.

Living in a residence hall and sharing meals is part of the college experience. Students also should notify the resident advisor and roommate about any allergies.

Augustana uses the Food Allergy Research and Information (FARE) guidelines to help students manage food allergies.
