Esbjörn Award for Extraordinary Leadership

The Esbjörn Award for Extraordinary Leadership is presented at the discretion of the president of the college.

The award recognizes a senior student whose record of leadership and service while at Augustana College has been both persistent and exemplary.

This shall include, but not be limited to, leadership in the service of student organizations, the institution, and the campus community in general.

Not an annual award, this special honor is conferred only as circumstances merit; however, no more than one student in any graduating class may receive it.

The award is named in honor of Lars Paul Esbjörn, the founding president of Augustana College. It is presented at the annual Senior Honors Convocation by the president of the college.
