Augie Sweethearts: Brittney Cox and Andrew Shearouse, Class of 2015

Andrew and I met in the EDGE Center the summer between our Junior and Senior year. We quickly became friends as we had work, internships, and ADs together. He learned I did theater and convinced me to help run lights and sound for the Genesius Guild in Lincoln Park. (There's even a stock photo of us now!) We started dating in December 2015; it actually started as a long-distance relationship with a two-hour drive between us. Andy had his dream job at Augustana, so eventually I moved back to the Quad Cities so we could be closer. We dated for three years, and this December on our anniversary, while making an excuse about needing to stop on campus for an errand, Andy proposed to me under the bell tower. I said yes and got my first ever bell tower kiss, and now we are in the process of planning our wedding!
