Augie Sweethearts: Krista Diehl '06 and Tim Diehl '04

I met the viking of my dreams during soccer pre-season my freshmen year. Tim was always so nice to me and an amazing soccer player for Augie. I’ll never forget him lending me his Discman on the bus while traveling to games, bringing me cold medicine to my dorm room when I was feeling miserable with a cold, and visiting me almost every weekend once he graduated. Tim was a GAB and I was a Delta Chi Theta, so attending each other’s Greek life formals and parties was always a blast.

Tim and I were a perfect match. We shared so many cherished memories at Augustana. It will always be that special place where I met the man who makes me a better version of myself. We got married Nov. 27, 2009 and it was a perfect day. So many Augie alumni were there to share the magic of the night! We have been married now almost 10 years and have been blessed with a 6-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy. Tim is in audio/visual sales and I am a vocational counselor. Life has definitely changed since college but we are still as happy as can be in our new roles in life. Whenever we go back to Augie we always make sure we share a kiss under the bell tower, visit the soccer fields, and reminisce down Olin stairs.
