Augie Sweethearts: Kyle and Maggie Holder, Class of 2017

The first time we saw each other was at a concert during the 2013 welcome week. We really didn't know how to meet other people, so we tagged along with friends from our floors and met their friends. Over the following months we began to talk more. Eventually, I asked her out on a date. The first date was rough, I was awkward, and my card got declined. Thankfully, she decided to go on another date with me. Junior year we went on a trip to Pittsburgh, stopping at Navy Pier so I could propose. The month after graduation we got married, surrounded by family and the many friends that we made in our time at Augustana. Today, we are graduate nursing students living in St. Louis, MO. The Augie "A" we received at graduation sits near our engagement photo, constantly reminding us where it all began.
