Augie Sweethearts: Kristy Pence and Andy Eckardt, Class of 2005

Andy and I met at Augie during our freshmen year in 2001.  I went with some of my friends over to the Seminary dorm, and that's when I met Andy.  He was a music major, and was always making me laugh!  Over the next few months, we played basketball at Pepsico together with the Seminary crew, hung out watching movies, and kept finding ourselves "accidentally" running into each other around campus! 

One day, we were hanging out in the Andreen lobby, and he walked me over to the grand piano and started singing and playing me a love song…And the rest is history!  We were married in Rock Island in June 2005, and currently live in Oregon, IL with our two kids.  Augie will always hold a special place in our hearts as we have so many wonderful memories of falling in love there!
