Senior Departmental Honors Convocation

This event honors students selected for special honors awarded by the various academic and administrative departments on campus. Honorees will receive an invitation from Academic Affairs. Family and friends are welcome to attend. No tickets are required.

Celebration of Learning 2027

The annual Celebration of Learning shares and showcases original scholarship and creative work by students, faculty and staff throughout the day.

2026 Symposium Day

Once a semester, Augustana devotes a full day to an alternative approach for learning and opens the process to the entire campus community.

This multidisciplinary approach to discuss a theme exemplifies the value of liberal learning.

Opening Convocation 2026

Opening Convocation marks the official start of the academic year. New students and families will join President Andrea Talentino as she addresses the incoming students and welcomes them to the college. (Rain location: Centennial Hall)

Study Away Fall Fair

This event will showcase the Faculty-Led Study Abroad programs for the current academic year 2026-2027. Summer language programs for the summer of 2027 will also be showcased.

A Day

All Augustana faculty, staff, administrators and coaches are invited to A Day, the annual recognition breakfast to celebrate the most recent Jaeke Award winners and more than 70 service award recipients.

Professors Dr. Adam Kaul and Dr. Margaret Farrar spent 15 years studying Bishop Hill, Ill. Their new book, "Becoming Utopia," blends political science and anthropology to explore the town’s history, myths, resilience and continued reinvention.

Austria study away program connects neuroscience, philosophy and culture

Visiting Austria this summer introduced Augustana students to a new culture while broadening their understanding of neuroscience and philosophy. Augustana is ranked No. 15 nationally among baccalaureate institutions for participation in short-term study abroad programs.
