Tea Talks: "The Veil, the Veil: How the World Become Obsessed with It?"

Dr. Umme Al-Wazedi, associate professor of English, will discuss the veil’s ancient and modern history and its resurgence in our time.

Theatre: Agnes of God

Augustana College will present the play "Agnes of God," the story of a novice nun who gives birth and insists that the child was the result of a virgin conception. A psychiatrist and the mother superior of the convent clash during the resulting investigation.

Flute Choir and Heart Strings Celtic Quartet

The Augustana Flute Choir and Heart Strings will perform.

Sierra Club meeting

The Sierra Club will hold its weekly meeting to round out Earth Week.

Invasive Species Pulling

Augustana’s grounds crew will lead students in pulling invasive species on the hill behind the Olin Center from noon-3 p.m.. Gloves and tools will be provided. Students are welcome to stay for the whole time or part of the time to assist.

Nature and mental health

Augie Acres and the Augustana chapter of the Gray Matters Collective will talk about using nature to practice mindfulness and its effect on mental health. Afterward, there will be a craft activity for students to bring nature into their dorm or house. Snacks will be provided.

"Virunga" Watch Party

The Film Club will host a screening of the documentary "Virunga." Popcorn and drinks will be provided.

Nature Walk at Sylvan Island

Augustana’s Student Government Association will lead a trip to Sylvan Island to explore the island. Transportation will be provided by ACES, or students can meet there.
