Diwali

Diwali, Known as Tihar or Deepawali , is a Hindu festival of lights celebrated in different parts of the world. On campus, the event will feature student performances, free food, raffles, sparklers, dancing and more.

Film: "Disclosure"

Office of  Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will show the film "Disclosure," a documentary in which trans creatives and thinkers share  perspectives and analysis.
 

Spirit and Pronoun Day

The Office Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will sponsor Spirit and Pronoun Day, encouraging campus to wear purple as a stand against bullying of the LGBTQ+ community. 

Slough sediment pulls in Symposium Day crowd

"Digging Up Augustana's Past," a pop-up exhibit and demonstration, drew a crowd during Symposium Day Oct. 6.

Folk Tales and S'mores

The Office of International Student and Scholar Services will host Folk Tales and S'mores. Sit by the fire and hear and share family stories while having some treats.

Zeta Phi Kappa: Painting, bonding and fun

Zeta Phi Kappa will host a painting night for potential new members to become acquainted with members.

Painting supplies are provided as well as food and drinks.

Guest speaker: Dimitrios Jason Stalides

Dimitrios Jason Stalides, director of TRIO Student Support Services at Augustana, will discuss his experiences and his role at the college.

God Jul Ornaments class

The Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center is offering a workshop to create painted wooden God Jul (Merry Christmas) ornaments. 

Data analytics info session

An informational session to learn about Augustana’s data analytics program will be offered.

The college offers a major and a minor in data analytics. The program is open to any student on campus, regardless of major area of interest.

Auditions for "Medea"

Augustana will hold auditions Oct. 13-14 for the upcoming production of "Medea" by Euripides. This modern translation by Nicolas Rudall of a classic play is open to all Augustana students.
