French Department Meet and Greet
The French department will be hosting a meet and greet with the new faculty from 4:00-4:30. An informational session about the study abroad trip to Dijon in summer 2018 will follow from 4:30-5:00.
Five Questions: Dr. Scott Gehler
Dr. Scott Gehler was one of the professors voted by Augustana seniors to give the “Last Lecture” in May 2017. "I learn just as much from my students as they learn from me," he said.
Martial Arts Club Open Practice
The Martial Arts Club will be having their second open practice of the year. Those interested in boxing, MMA, judo, taekwondo, or any other martial arts or interested in learning self-defense are encouraged to attend.
Car Show
Augustana Car Club will be hosting their first car show of the year. The show cars will arrive at 4 p.m. and the event will begin at 5 p.m. Cars of all makes, models, and years will be present.
Campus Ministries Mini-Retreat
Campus Ministries will be hosting a free Mini-Retreat at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve, where there will be canoeing, games, a picnic lunch, and an opportunity to meet new people.
The group will be leaving campus at 9 a.m. and returning to campus by 4 p.m.
SWLI kicks off second year of lead project
Representatives from Augustana College, Scott County and Genesis Health System gathered Thursday to congratulate more than 100 Augustana students on their work to address lead contamination in Scott County, and kick off the second year of the project.
Yarn “bombs” under construction

Augie Acres market
Augie Acres will sell produce from 12-3 p.m. Items will include multiple varieties of apples, plums, striped eggplant, tomatillos, tomatoes, eggs, honey, cucumbers and turnips.
Codfish Hollow Excursion
The Student Life Programming Board will be hosting an excursion to Codfish Hollow, a live music venue in Maquoketa, IA.
