Gwaltney ’84 elected to Augustana’s Board of Trustees

Augustana announces the election of Brent Gwaltney  ’84 to the college’s Board of Trustees. Gwaltney has spent the majority of his three-decade career involved in the management, construction, operation, and financing of world-scale petrochemical facilities.

My FIRST Passport

The My FIRST Passport Award is a grant to assist first- and second-year students obtain a passport. Having a passport can open new opportunities for students to explore the world. Students who have a valid passport have an easier time studying abroad, traveling abroad for research, attending professional conferences abroad, and much more.

Augustana receives $50,000 to support vocational reflection

In December 2018, Augustana received a $50,000 grant from NetVUE (Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education) to make vocational reflection more intentional in the academic curriculum and connect what’s learned in the classroom to co-curricular activities.

Vocational discernment

Students find vocational reflection infused into the curriculum and co-curricular programming, ranging from the sophomore-year residential life experience to athletic leadership programs and January Term courses on work and Sabbath rest.
