Band Sesquicentennial

Alumni give their time and treasure for sesquicentennial celebration

Established in 1874, the Augustana Symphonic Band is the oldest continually performing ensemble on campus and one of the oldest wind ensembles in the United States. The ensemble will celebrate its sesquicentennial anniversary with a weekend-long celebration Nov. 22-24, 2024. We sat down with some of the dedicated alumni who are planning the reunion to chat about the band program’s legacy.

Private educational (alternative) loan programs

Many private (non-federal) lending organizations offer loan funds to assist students with their educational and living expenses. Sometimes referred to as "alternative" loans, these non-need-based programs can help bridge the gap between the total cost a student incurs to attend Augustana College and the funding received from federal, state and other financial aid programs.

Items donated will benefit The Salvation Army and Closet2Closet,a local nonprofit that distributes clothing to youth in foster care. The organization was founded 10 years ago by Dr. Allison Haskill, Augustana professor of communication sciences and disorders.
