Naomi and Dirk Durant: Holiday giving establishes endowed music scholarships

Naomi (Berggren) and Dirk Durant, lifelong Kansas residents who moved to the Twin Cities two years ago, aren't Augustana alumni – but Augustana runs in Naomi's family. It's these connections that inspired Naomi and Dirk to travel across the Midwest and experience Christmas at Augustana firsthand. They were so inspired by the festivities, they made a generous gift to the college.

High jumper Gabriela Loiz '23 earned All-American status at the NCAA DIII Outdoor National Championships in Rochester, N.Y. She is Augustana's first women's All-American in the high jump since 1997.

Augustana, Rock Island break ground on Lincoln Park tennis complex

Administrators from the City of Rock Island and Augustana College broke ground on a six-court tennis complex at Lincoln Park, adjacent to campus. The project is slated to open for use by the college and the community this fall.
