Beta Beta Beta National Biology Honor Society is a group for those students who dedicate themselves to improving the overall understanding and appreciation of biology, while also striving to achieve further knowledge of the subject through scientific research and individual student projects.

Alpha Kappa Delta recognizes seniors majoring in the department who have shown excellence in the study of sociology, anthropology, and social welfare.

Greek Council, the governing board of fraternity and sorority life, is comprised of a 15 member executive board and two representatives from each chapter.  This student run governing body meets weekly and is responsible for facilitating Greek relations with Augustana faculty and the community.

Augustana’s National Public Radio affiliate serves the Illinois-Iowa community 24 hours a day at 90.3 FM. A professional staff programs classical music, news, and public affairs, as well as jazz and specialty shows. WVIK also operates a reading service for the blind involving volunteers from the College and the community. A number of Augustana students are involved in the publicly financed operation, principally as reporters.

The Web Guild is a student group that provides a full range of web services for not-for-profit organizations and small businesses along with website design and development training to Augustana students.

Augustana’s biannual literary and art magazine is edited by a student staff and publishes student art, prose and poetry. 

Augie Water Polo competes in the CWPA conference in the fall, and play in other tournaments in the spring.  Our goal is to teach anyone who wants to play the basics of the game, and to form a good team dynamic.
