Farah Marklevits, instructor in English, presents a Frieze Lecture on the literary legacy of the great poems of 1915, which included Robert Frost's "Road Not Taken" and TS Eliot's "Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock." The Frieze Lecture Series is an 18-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and Augustana College. It continues this year with the theme "1915 – A Landmark Year."
First women's bowling team focused on foundation
Augustana's women's bowling team is competing in its very first season.

The Swenson Center collections consist of library and archival resources as well as a collection of Swedish-American lodge records, newspapers, and church records on microfilm.
'Frank Lundahl and the Quad Cities' Nov. 18-Feb.12
The Augustana Teaching Museum of Art will present work by a local artist in "A Place Called Home: Frank Lundahl and the Quad Cities" Nov. 18, 2015–Feb. 12, 2016. Lundahl (1858-1932) was a Swedish-American artist born in Rock Island. A painter of interior murals by trade, his works in Augustana's collection focus on the world around him, calling attention to the everyday beauty of the region.
