Students plan Green Week April 18-23

Augustana student groups are planning a number of hands-on activities for Green Week April 18-23. Their goal is to promote environmental issues and encourage campus to connect with nature.

Groundskeeper keeps campus green, clean

Not too many people walking around Augustana’s campus would notice the small chips in the stairs, but Chris Woods does. As one of seven groundskeepers on the 115-acre campus, the Rock Island man tackles big projects, such as clearing snow off of the many walks, hills and sidewalks, to smaller ones, such as filling in holes in stairs.

'A Green River' triumphs at college festival

Augustana's production of "A Green River" got a standing ovation at the Kennedy Center's regional college theater festival, but students will have to wait until March to see if they will be invited to the national festival.

The Penguin Project

Augustana College collaborates each year with The Penguin Project of the Quad Cities to give children with special needs a chance to develop creative skills in the theatre arts.

Digital Projects

The Swenson Center has digitized a small portion of its collections. These resources are available to view online.
