Meal plans for 2023-24

Meal plans are pre-paid accounts for your dining purchases. Plans are set up at the beginning of each academic term and are charged to your tuition bill.

Plans include a set number of meals and Viking Bucks, which are electronically loaded onto your student ID. Whenever the card is used (swiped), your meal plan account balance is automatically debited.

All first-year and sophomore students automatically are assigned the Any 15 Plan at the beginning of each semester. To change plans, log into the housing/dining portal. Stop by Dining Services office in the Gerber Center or contact Amy Roehrs at 309-794-7543 for help. Any changes must be made during the first two weeks of the semester.

Junior and seniors are not assigned meal plans. They can buy of the on-campus or off-campus meal plans at any time by logging into the housing and dining portal.

Meal plans can be used in Gerber Center Dining Room, Brew by the Slough, Gus' Snack Bar and the Westerlin Market. (One exception: Gerber Unlimited plans may only use meal swipes in the Gerber Center Dining Room.)

Meal plans are non-transferable and cannot be used by others. Meal plan holders are required to show photo ID upon entry or for purchase.

Viking Bucks

Viking Bucks can be used in any Augustana dining location and also at all concessions. You can load more Viking Bucks to your ID card at any time during the school year.

Viking Bucks roll over term-to-term during the academic year. Viking Bucks left at the end of the academic year (the Monday after commencement) will be forfeited.

Gerber Unlimited on-campus plan

This plan provides unlimited access to the all-you-care-to-eat Gerber Dining Center, seven days a week during operation hours, and $75 in Viking dollars per semester. Unlimited meal swipes must be taken in the Gerber Dining Center.

This plan carries 20 retail swipes. These are meal swipes that allow for a meal equivalency in the retail dining areas (C-store, Snack Bar, and Brew).

Any 19, Any 15, Any 12 on-campus plans and Any 10 off-campus plan

These plans offer a certain amount of meal swipes each week which can be used to purchase all-you-can-eat meals in the Gerber Center Dining Room, and also to-go meals and meal bundles from the Brew, Westerlin Market and Gus' Snack Bar. Up to four swipes can be used a day.  

The meal week begins with breakfast on Sunday and ends with dinner on Saturday. Meals not used during the week are forfeited.

Any 10, Any 80 and Any 100 off-campus plans

These plans offer a certain amount of meal swipes for the semester or academic year and can be used at any time to purchase meals in the Gerber Center Dining Room, and also to-go meals and meal bundles from the Brew, Westerlin Market and Gus' Snack Bar. With each of these meal plans, up to four meal swipes can be used a day.  

Meal swipes and Viking Bucks roll over term-to-term during the academic year. An additional block of 25 meal swipes can be purchased at any time for $265. Any meal swipes or Viking Bucks left at the end of the academic year (the Monday after commencement) will be forfeited.

On-campus plans 2023-24

*Retail meal swipes come with the Gerber Unlimited plan only. These allow for a meal equivalency swipe in the retail dining areas (C-store, Snack Bar, Brew).

**Any 15 Plus automatically will be assigned to first- and second-year students living in standard housing. However, you may choose a different meal plan from the on-campus options; please contact Dining Services to select a different on-campus meal option.

***Any 80 and Any 100 meals are valid until used in full or to the end of the academic year. These meal plans can be purchased at any point during the year.

Fall semester meal plans will continue for those enrolled in a January term (J-term) on-campus experience.
