Protecting your Computer
Anti-virus and anti-malware software scans your device for malware (i.e. viruses, adware, etc.) and either removes it or quarantines it to protect your computer. Augustana strongly suggests that our users install (or activate existing) antivirus software on their personal computers.
Students are responsible for maintaining their personal computer and keeping it free from spyware and adware. This is to protect not only your machine, but the other devices on our network as well.
