Viking Connections: Matt Mordini
Matt Mordini is a middle school administrator, managing student discipline and support systems like school counselors and social workers, and connecting families to outside support services.
"I think I offer a unique perspective because I majored in political science and minored in religion. When I graduated college, I decided I wanted to go into education and so I did an alternate route to licensure and became a teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada. After eight years, I moved back to Illinois to start my career in school administration. I can help students navigate finding alternative routes outside of their major, moving/living out of state, and talk about both the teaching and administration aspects of public education."
