Viking Connections: Sydney Gilbert

Sydney Gilbert is an advancement associate for Marquette University.

"I can show students that life after Augie isn't always exactly as you imagined -- and that's okay! I have completely changed my career path, but if it wasn't for my liberal arts education, I wouldn't be where I happily am today. Additionally, those in the arts typically don't have the option to connect with as many alumni as those in science and business do. I hope to show them that they should pursue their passions even if others are saying it isn't 'practical,' because if you market yourself right, all experience is positive."
