Patti Grod's new classroom

A day in the life: distance learning in Nevada

Under these new circumstances, I knew that I wanted to finish out my last year of undergrad strong! Being the very “Type A” person that I am, to make things seem as normal as possible, I  came up with daily routines for my MWF and T/TH classes. This helped keep me focused, since I often find myself getting distracted studying and working from home. Here’s a look at what my MWF schedule looks like.

J-Term presentations in Patti's class

A senior's first (and last) J-Term

Although it would have been nice to have a six-week winter break, my commitment to a winter sport required me to be on campus and take a class. Luckily, I was able to find one that fit my interests and fulfilled a requirement for one of my majors.

J-Term was more than I expected

Three weeks and two days of fast-paced learning, three long hours of class, and late nights doing homework. But I loved every minute.
