Oktoberfest fundraiser
The Speeds and Roundels will host their annual Oktoberfest from 4-7. The event will offer games and raffle prizes with food and drink available.
Proceeds will go to Closet2Closet, a local nonprofit that helps supply clothes and hygiene products to youth and families.
Hispanic Film Festival begins Oct. 26
Augustana College will sponsor its 26th annual Hispanic Film Festival on Wednesdays, Oct. 26-Nov. 30. All films will be shown at 7 p.m. in Hanson Hall of Science, Room 102. Films are free and open to the public.
Prison Pen Pal Program meeting
Augustana's Prison Pen Pal Program works in partnership with Companions Journeying Together, a not-for-profit organization that serves people who are incarcerated in Illinois and their families.
The goals are to facilitate communication and build healthy relationships.
Students can learn about the program at this informational meeting.

Dance marathon will have a meeting for students to learn more about their club and what they will be doing this year.
Caribbean night
The Multicultural Programming Board and Latinx Unidos celebrate hispanic heritage month through food, music, and friendship driven by culture from the Caribbean.
Hands-on Git and Github workshop
Augustana's Google Developer Student Club will offer a hands-on Git and Github workshop, open to beginners.

The Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity and CORE Career Development host an interactive workshop focused on building students' plans for Augustana and beyond.
This is Par 1 of the 'Level Up' Series. The 'Level Up' series is to help students level up in college and career readiness.
This series was developed to provide students additional support and resources to prepare them for life during and after Augustana.
Scare Games
Students interested in joining Greek Life in the spring have an opportunity to meet current active members from every single Greek group on campus. There will be dodgeball, kickball, rope pull, and more.
Food will be provided with a showing of "Monsters University" afterwards.

ReSearch/ReWrite offers help with writing assignments every Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Tredway Library's fourth-floor information desk (by the Brew).
A Reading/Writing Center tutor and a library research assistant will be available. They can help you with anything research/writing-related, from finding sources to formatting citations.
No appointments are necessary. Drop by for five minutes or stay for an hour.
