Mid Autumn Festival

The Asian Student Organization will host its annual Mid Autumn Festival .

This is a traditional harvest festival in which offerings are made to honor the moon. Also, it is known as the Moon Festival since the moon is the brightest and fullest on this day.

African Student Association cookout

All are invited to attend a cookout hosted by the African Student Association. Enjoy food and music while connecting with international communities.

Worship service

The Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity has partnered with Life Church QC in East Moline, Ill., to offer this Lifeline Student Ministry worship service on campus.

There will be lively worship music and a chance to connect with other young adults in the community.

Examination of land use and heritage wins national award 

Dr. Lucy Burgchardt, an assistant professor of communication studies at Augustana College, has received a national award for her examination of how lands and their histories in the Southwest are considered and preserved.

A scientist who stumbled upon an extraordinary graveyard of ancient ships will speak at Augustana College about the discovery Nov. 13.

SOUL Circle - Women of Color

Sisterhood of Unique Ladies (SOUL) will sponsor a  Women of Color panel and conversation with Dr. Umme Al-Wazedi, Leticia Martinez from the Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity, and Kam Williams, director of disability services.

Auditions for directing scenes

Student actors are needed for 11 short plays that will be directed by this year's Directing Class students.

Anyone interested in these roles is asked to audition from 1-4 p.m. today. No prepared material is needed.
