"Beginner’s Luck" starts here Aug. 3-12
Mississippi Bend Players will premiere the comedy "Beginner’s Luck," written by Emmy Award nominee and Golden Girls producer P.J. Lasker Aug. 3-12.
Theatre Pizza Mixer
Any student interested in being involved in theatre productions at Augustana, either onstage or backstage, is invited to this informational meeting and pizza party.
Black Student Union Back-to-School BBQ
Members of the Black Student Union (BSU) invite all first-year students to their annual back-to-school BBQ. Everyone is welcome to enjoy free food, music and games. Stop by the BSU table at the Student Activities Fair to enter a raffle to win a T-shirt at the BBQ.
Augie Reads panel
A panel of Augustana faculty from a diverse set of a academic disciplines will open the conversation about "Between the World and Me" by Ta-Nehisi Coates in Centennial Hall. This will be an opportunity for students to explore the book's key ideas and issues.
Ecumenical Worship Service
This service is open to everyone. Included are music, Holy Communion and a sermon by College Chaplain Richard Priggie '74.
Concert in the Quad
Students are invited to join their classmates for food and live music in the lower quad. Augustana's own alternative rock band, Saving Artax, will open the concert to set the stage for Win and Woo, a pop-inspired duo from Chicago, Ill.
Quad City Family Entertainment
Transfer students join Augustana juniors and seniors for an evening of music, bowling and complimentary refreshments at the Quad City Family Entertainment VIP bowling suite.
Celebration Belle Riverboat Cruise.
First-year students will join their classmates for music, dancing, comedy and complimentary refreshments on a Mississippi River cruise. Mission Improvable, a touring improvisation troupe, will be on board for the night's entertainment.
