Theatre Open House

Students interested in being involved in theatre may meet theatre department faculty at the Brunner Theatre Center and learn about opportunities for participation onstage and behind the scenes during the 2019-2019 season.

OSL after hours

Students are invited to continue networking with their peers with a live performance by The Violin Twins, a violin-playing duo and Augustana alumni. Pizza and ice cream will be provided.

Welcome to College Extravaganza

Augustana Public Safety officers will share practical advice about social life in college followed by the Student Life Programming Board's annual performance featuring hypnotist Dale K.

Getting the Most Out of College

Getting the Most Out of College will feature Jason LaVasseur, a nationally recognized speaker on college success. The program will focus on important ways new students can get started by taking action early.

Parent reception

Parents are invited to join President Steve Bahls and his wife, Jane Easter Bahls, for informal conversation and refreshments. 

Transfer student welcome

Transfer Student Welcome is for students transferring from other institutions. This session will inform students of opportunities to connect with classmates and the resources available to them at Augustana.

Augie 1Gen welcome

Students entering Augustana who are the first, or among the first, in their families to attend college are invited to Augie 1Gen Welcome. This session will highlight programming designed to enhance college success.
 

“Searching for Pirates: The Rough Cilicia Archaeological Survey Project”

Dr. Nicholas K. Rauh, professor of Classics at Purdue University, will present “Searching for Pirates: The Rough Cilicia Archaeological Survey Project." 

Discussion of modern music, an interview and Q&A with Nick Zoulek

Saxophonist and composer Nick Zoulek will undergo an interview about modern music, followed up with a Q&A. Zoulek will perform his recital after the interview.

The Augustana Saxophone Studio will perform their recital for the saxophone festival.
